It was a good day for the department, we loaded 500 feet of new supply line onto Engine 1, this brings us up to 1,000 feet of supply line on Engine 1 ensuring we are able to reach a house in town from nearly every hydrant.

After having many hoses not pass inspection it was much needed!

Thank You to the council for approving the purchase of the new hose, it will serve the community for many years to come.

Power has been restored as of 9am. Thanks to the Evergy crews for working through the rain to get it restored!

Please use caution when driving into work or out and about this morning! Torrential rains have fallen, and continue to fall across the area leading to flash flooding! Upwards of 5-7 inches of rain is expected to fall across the area by early morning.

Remember TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN!

3:30AM TAMKO Building Products Radar. These storms are going to train over the same area. It is looking more likely that we will pick up extreme flash flooding in spots, especially in my circle.

Warning which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 7 PM CST
this evening.

* TIMING...From 11 AM this morning to 7 PM CST this evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 24 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 63.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
