The Arcanum Fire Company confirms that crews responded to a mulch fire at Fitzwater’s. The fire was quickly brought under control using approximately 2,000 gallons of water. Fitzwater’s personnel assisted by using heavy equipment to turn over the mulch pile, allowing firefighters to reach and extinguish the remaining hot spots. No injuries were reported.

New Band and Student sections for this football season! This will be just for this year since our new set of bleachers will not be installed until the fall season is over.

HS Students, there is a small set of bleachers located where labeled in this picture, but due to the limited seats on that set we will keep JH students in the old set on the right side of the bleachers.

Tanker 351, our 1993 tanker and the workhorse of our water-movement operations, delivered 17 loads of water during yesterday’s mutual-aid barn fire. That’s 30,600 gallons of water supplied by our department alone—not to mention the tremendous contribution from all the other tankers involved in maintaining the water supply.
Not bad for a 33-year-old truck! Strong work by everyone involved.
