✨🍄 Celebrating 2 Years of Entheogen Decriminalization in Eureka! 🌿🙌🏽

Two years ago, on October 17th, 2023, the Eureka City Council voted to decriminalize entheogens — a courageous step that honored nature, healing, and personal freedom.

Today, we celebrate this milestone with deep gratitude to our community, the City Council, and all who shared their voices, hearts, and visions to make this possible. 💚A giant thank you in particular for Larry at for guiding our way!

In these two years, our community has grown in understanding, compassion, and connection — continuing to nurture respect for the sacred relationship between humans and these healing allies.

Here’s to ongoing education, safe access, and reverence for the wisdom of nature.

Together, we keep dreaming, growing, and healing. 🌿

Announcing our speakers for our event coming up next week: An Evening of Entheogenic Education! Everyone on this lineup is a member of our very own community, and we are so grateful to have such a supportive healing hub here in Humboldt. This will be a truly special event, and it’s free and welcome to all thanks to the donations we’ve received from our local, small-scale supporters.

An evening of Entheogenic Education hosted by Decriminalize Nature Humboldt will take place on Friday, December 1, from 6-9PM at Labor Temple - 840 E Street, Eureka, CA.

Hello all! and are creating a resource hub for the Humboldt community, that will include providers who support mind expanding experiences, such as: integration support, microdosing coaching, guides for large dose experiences and so on.

If you want to be included as a resource, please message or send an email to [email protected] with your info. Let us know what you offer, and we can get some of your cards, pamphlets, stickers, etc to put on our resource table. We are organizing a free educational event in Eureka December 1st, so please contact us before then if you would like to be included.

Beyond our resource table we are planning on creating an online resource page that will be accessable through both of our websites.

We heal as a community, truly. Let's allow the mycelium network of healers to join together to help cultivate a strong and healthy Humboldt community.

We had some issues with access to our page recently, so we have some catching up to do! First of all, the decriminalization of entheogenic plants and fungi was passed by the Eureka City Council on 10/17/23!

A huge congrats to all on this monumental day 10/17/23.
A humongous thank you to the community. We are in awe with how many people came out to support decriminalization of entheogens for Eureka last night. This could have not happened without the community. The community joining together has such a powerful impact and this is how we can create positive change.

Thank you Councilmember Fernandez for standing behind decriminalization and sponsoring our resolution. And thank you Eureka city council and Mayor for your thoughtful comments before the YES vote.

A huge thank you to for helping us so much along the way. You are truly the backbone. Decriminalization in both Arcata and Eureka could have not happened without your wisdom and support. May you always get what you need in order to continue leading this movement until entheogens are decriminalized worldwide 🙌🏼

We did it, community!! The decriminalization of entheogens in the city of Eureka is on the agenda, and the Eureka city council will be voting on it NEXT WEEK, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17TH! After turning in the last of our 668 letters of support at public comment last week, Councilmember Fernandez sponsored Decriminalize Nature Humboldt’s resolution for the decriminalization of entheogenic plants and fungi to be put on the agenda for a vote. Let’s fill up the chambers to send a final message to the other council members that this is what we want.

So please join us at Eureka City Hall (531 K St.) at 6pm on Tuesday, October 17th to flood those chambers with messages of support. It takes a community to create change, and it’s gotten us this far. Just one more push for Eureka! Mark your calendars!!

Ideas of Topics to include if you do want to speak:
- Personal Experiences of Healing
-Diversity and inclusion: making psychedelic access equitable and just
-Equal access to Nature Allies, Nature is not commodified, corporations are.
—Harm/Risk reduction for our community by decreasing legal risk and increasing educational resources of safe explorations.
—Specific info related to the medicines that would be decriminalized, psilocybin, mescaline, iboga, Ayahuasca, research or info about sage use and cultivation.
—positive experiences since Arcata Decrim passed.

Theses are just ideas of topics to include for those who feel passionate to speak, feel free to add your own topics or ideas.
But full invite to speak from the heart when the moment calls too! From the heart is always good.

Community work makes the dream work. We hope you all can make it, each with a friend or friends in tow!? And looking forward to celebrating a really good thing with you all!!
