Society for Conservation Biology - HSU

Society for Conservation Biology - HSU Now accepting members who are excited to save the world with science :)
Please read on ... our chap SCB-HSU is a student chapter.

We are now accepting currently enrolled students as new members for $20/yr. Working professionals in conservation fields and members of the general public who wish to become members are welcome to inquire as well, however they will have higher annual dues and our membership must remain at least 80% HSU students. Humboldt State University's student chapter of Society for Conservation Biology (SCB-H

SU) was initially formed to serve as springboard for HSU's Biodiversity Conference (humboldt.edu/biodiversity). Over the course of 2013, as we find our place on campus and in the community while gaining new active members, the planning of HSU's Bio Conf 2013 (coming in Sept.) and collaborating with other organizations in the development of scientifically-founded position statements on local ecological issues will be the focus of our work. Informed student, public and professional input are always welcome. SCB-HSU is always seeking new members. Not all members are required to be active (ie, come to meetings and take on tasks), although it is encouraged. You can simply join, pay your dues, and enjoy the benefits of being part of an international professional association and having a say in some of the decisions that SCB-HSU makes. Visit conbio.org (or simply read on) to find out more about SCB in general.
