Our Police, Fire and Ambulance Service is one of, if not, the most relied on and needed services in our communities. Today our volunteers worked hand in hand to make the saving of a life, a man in desperate need of help, get to safety and be transported by Archbald Ambulance to the local trauma center. His family that rushed to the scene were calmed by our police officers. Our police called out to the man and gave words of encouragement, to remain calm and that the Fire, Rescue & EMS crews would get him out safely. They did just that. They are truly amazing!!

Where would we be without these local services? They ask very little from our town, a BBQ, a small fundraiser to muster the funds to pay for a million dollar Fire Truck, an ambulance that costs nearly $350,000. You get the idea. They never let our communities down and we should never forget the hard work they put in. Where would we be in a time of need without them? Thank You Volunteers! You are our Hometown Heroes!!

STEAMTOWN MARATHON – TRAFFIC ADVISORY 🏃‍♀️
The Steamtown Marathon will take place this Sunday, October 11, 2026. 8:30am - noon.
Residents along Monroe Street, Church Street, Gilmartin Street and Laurel Street should expect traffic delays and detours as runners make their way through the Borough.
🚨 All traffic should travel to Wayne Street, where Archbald Police Officers will assist motorists and get you through the area as quickly and safely as possible.
🏠 Residents living along the race route are asked to please use your driveways or park in the Borough parking lot. This will help keep the race route clear and allow runners to travel safely.
We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we work to keep both our residents and marathon participants safe.

Archbald Borough Police Department is proud to introduce the Blue Envelope Program to our community!

We have partnered with Lehigh Valley Health Network to introduce this inclusive program for better communication during traffic stops with individuals who may have difficulty verbally communicating during encounters with law enforcement. Blue Envelopes are available at Police Headquarters or you can call our office at 570-876-0426 for information.

R21, 21-8 handled a single vehicle crash early this morning along Main Street in Eynon. A crew of 10 responded. Patient was evaluated by EMT's and released to a family member with no injury. The telephone pole will need to be replaced.
