🚨 BURN BAN UPDATE 🚨

Effective at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, the N.C. Forest Service has lifted the statewide burn ban for Guilford, Randolph, Davidson, and surrounding counties after recent rainfall helped reduce fire danger conditions.

This includes the Archdale and Trinity areas. Fires within 100 feet of an occupied structure are permitted.

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• Local burn ordinances within the City of Archdale remain in effect at all times.

• Anyone wishing to burn must obtain a NEW valid burn permit. Previous permits issued before the statewide ban were cancelled.

Please continue to use caution with any outdoor burning and monitor weather conditions.

Statewide Burn Ban Still in Effect

Weekend rain wasn’t enough to ease drought conditions or reduce wildfire risk. Most areas still need significant rainfall, and dry fuels, low humidity, and recent fire activity remain concerns.

Since March 28, over 1,200 wildfires have burned nearly 3,500 acres—many caused by human activity.

⚠️ No open burning allowed.
⚠️ Use extreme caution with anything that can spark a fire.

The burn ban will remain in place until conditions improve.

The burn ban also applies within the city limits of Archdale and Trinity.

🚫🔥 STATEWIDE BURN BAN IN EFFECT – STARTING TODAY AT 6:00 PM (3/28/2026) 🔥🚫

Beginning at 6:00 PM this evening, a statewide burn ban has been implemented across North Carolina due to hazardous fuel and weather conditions.

This decision was made by state leadership, and Commissioner Steve Troxler has officially signed the implementation order. Current dry conditions mean that even the smallest spark can quickly turn into a dangerous wildfire.

⚠️ LOCAL ENFORCEMENT UPDATE:The Guil-Rand Fire Marshal’s Office is also enforcing this burn ban:
• Within the city limits of Archdale
• Within the city limits of Trinity
• Within 100 feet of any occupied structure

⚠️ What this means:
• All open burning is prohibited
• This includes burn piles, yard debris, and any non-permitted outdoor fires
• Violations may result in fines and legal action

🚒 The Guil-Rand Fire Department urges everyone to take this ban seriously. With conditions this dry, fires can start fast and spread even faster—putting lives, homes, and property at risk.

We are working alongside our state partners to ensure public safety and awareness.

🙏 Please do your part:
• Avoid any activity that could create sparks
• Properly dispose of smoking materials
• Report any signs of fire immediately

Let’s work together to keep our community safe.

🚨🔥 HIGH FIRE DANGER ALERT 🔥🚨
📅 March 26, 2026

With current dry and windy conditions, it only takes one spark to start a wildfire.

That spark could come from:
🚜 Equipment
🔥 Burn piles
🚗 Vehicles
🚬 Improperly discarded smoking materials

⚠️ Fires can start easily and spread rapidly under these conditions.

🚫 Please avoid outdoor burning until conditions improve.

✅ Be mindful of anything that could create a spark.
✅ Take steps to protect your property and our community.

🌲 Spread prevention, NOT wildfire.

📅 March 25, 2026

Wildfire risk is currently elevated across North Carolina due to dry conditions, low humidity, and increasing winds.

Flames can spread rapidly and unpredictably
Outdoor burning can quickly get out of control

🚫 We Strongly Urge:

Avoid all outdoor burning if possible
Never leave fires unattended
Properly dispose of ci******es
Avoid parking vehicles on dry grass
Report any signs of smoke or fire immediately

Good afternoon, everyone! Our department is growing, and with more personnel to better serve you all, one table just isn't enough for everyone to eat together. We assembled a crew to build and design two new tables that reflect our new patch and shirt logo. With everyone's input, we came up with two cool designs that we think turned out great! We want to give a huge shout-out to for all the hard work put into pouring the tabletops. Though we ran into some hurdles, they "broke through" and made it happen. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. In the end, they turned out great, and now we can all eat together as a family! 🥳🍽️
