What is this? It’s the beginnings of a curbcut raingarden. It will clean water before it reaches White Bear Lake. It’s going in thanks to a partnership with the City of White Bear Lake, Ramsey Conservation District, Rice Creek Watershed District, and local homeowners.

Ramsey Conservation District is proud to have partnered with Anoka Soil & Water Conservation District to complete the first metro SWCD Campus Groundwater Conservation assessment of Matoska International IB World School. Within a week of presenting our findings to the school, they have made 16 recommended water-saving improvements, saving an estimated net total of 664,797 gallons of valuable groundwater in White Bear Lake (over the fixtures' lifespans) and $3,109 for the White Bear Lake Area Schools District! Way to go, Matoska!! Invasive plant workshop: Join us to learn about the plants in your lake.

Learn how to identify the most common aquatic invasive species (AIS) in White Bear Lake and other nearby lakes at this free, hands-on seminar. We'll discuss curly leaf pondw**d, Eurasian watermilfoil, and zebra mussels - as well as beneficial native plants like coontail, chara and northern milfoil.....

Congratulations to Hopkins High School and Middle School for sweeping first place at the Envirothon. Thank you to Saint Paul Central High Schooll, Tartan High School, Andover High School, Columbia Heights High School and Minnetonka High School along with Rockford Middle School for participating. Everyone put forth their best effort. It was inspiring to see future environmental leaders spreading their knowledge.
