City of Arden Hills, MN Arden Hills lies in Ramsey County, approximately 8 miles north of the downtown area of St. Paul. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the mid-1990s, the U.S.

Arden Hills lies approximately 8 miles north of the downtown areas of both St. It is situated in Ramsey County and covers 9.4 square miles with an estimated population of 9,600. The City serves as home to many large corporations, numerous small to medium size businesses, and two private colleges. Arden Hills & TCAAP
The City was incorporated in 1951. approximately one-third of the City’s land (approximately 4 square miles, 2,370 acres) was owned by the federal government, who operated the Twin Cities Army Am******on Plant (TCAAP), built to support WWII and subsequent mu*****ns needs. Army formally declared 585 acres of this land in the southwest corner as excess, 430 acres for private redevelopment and the remainder for green space and other local public use. The remaining 1,785 acres continue to be used by the Army and the Army Reserve as a training site. Portions of the land the Army is releasing are contaminated and need cleanup before development can begin. The release and development of this land will have a tremendous impact on the future development and character of the City.

🍂 Fall is a Great Time to Tackle Buckthorn!

Planning some fall yard work? Arden Hills residents can reserve the City's buckthorn removal tool (w**d wrench) for free through the end of October.
The tool can be reserved for one week at a time and makes it easier to remove unwanted buckthorn from your property. 🌿

📍 TEMPORARY PICKUP LOCATION: Due to the closure of the Public Works building, the w**d wrench will be available for pickup at Arden Hills City Hall beginning Monday, Sept. 28, through Friday, Oct. 30.

Don't forget! Join Great River Greening this Saturday for a volunteer planting event at Hazelnut Park!

Volunteers will help plant native shrubs and wildflowers in areas where invasive buckthorn has been removed. This helps increase plant diversity, improves wildlife habitat and supports the long-term health of the park. 🌼🌿

🙌 All are welcome and no experience is necessary.

The Arden Hills Public Works building will be closed to the public beginning Monday, Sept. 28, due to a Ramsey County-led project at the facility. The closure is expected to last approximately two months.

Public Works operations and City services will continue without interruption.

♻️ Food Scraps Pickup is Off to a Great Start!

The Ramsey County Food Scraps Pickup Program launched in Arden Hills in July, and in less than two months, 361 households are already participating - that's 10% of Arden Hills households! 🎉

Getting started is easy! Order a year's supply of food scrap bags, fill them with your food scraps and place the tied bags in your trash bin. Specially designed equipment separates the bags from the trash so the food scraps can be sent for composting. 🌱
