We are looking for people who want to create that future to join our Board of Directors. You don’t need to be an expert to help, and we welcome people of all ages.

We're just a few days away from the start of Medicare Open Enrollment. If you haven't already, check out our upcoming presentations about Medicare taking place throughout open enrollment (link below).

Next Wednesday at noon, we will host a virtual presentation about money saving programs that can lower Medicare premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. Find out who qualifies, how to apply for assistance and learn about program benefits. We’ll also cover Medicare preventive services, like free screenings, vaccines and wellness visits.

Proposed changes to the 2030 Census could affect how Minnesotans are counted, including older adults, and with that, our state’s representation and the funding that supports services in our communities.

MAAA President and CEO Dawn Simonson joined Minnesotans for the ACS and several organizations for a webinar earlier this week to discuss what the proposed changes could mean for older Minnesotans and the organizations that serve them.

The Minnesota State Demographic Center explains what’s being proposed and how to share your input. Note, the public comment period has been extended to November 11.

The U.S. Census Bureau is proposing changes to how decennial census data are collected. The proposed changes to the 2030 Census would affect who is counted, where people are counted, and whether demographic information on race and ethnicity is collected, as well as other changes.
