I am Patrick James, past President and current member of BK OK VIII. I specifically stepped down from President to prepare for the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge that I was accepted to participate in starting August 02, 2026, as rider #1330.

The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge accepts only 100 new riders for the challenge and is an endurance challenge for the individual rider, who will travel 10,000 miles in 10 to 14 days. without the luxury of a GPS navigation or a hotel. The route will be given on the first day of the ride and along the route at a specific check point. The ride will test the endurance of the rider along with their stamina and willpower. It is encouraged by Hoka Hey to participate in a fundraiser and I have chosen St. Jude, since it's a great cause and assists so many families during a horrific time in their lives. I, along with the Blue Knights OK VIII, have assisted in giving by attending the Talimena Rally Cruisin for St. Jude in Texarkana, AR. for the past nine years and by hosting a golf tournament in Ardmore, OK for the past three years. Although I have not personally been affected by childhood cancer, many have, and I have met many grateful survivors. Hearing their journey and challenges has inspired me to do more. With the help of St. Jude, they are here.

I want to challenge each of the Conferences and/ or Chapters of the Blue Knights to donate. If each Chapter could give $50- $100, that would be awesome. If individuals in the Chapter would like to donate that would be great also, so please share this message. The more money raised the more help families can receive. BK VIII memeber, Bryan Billey and I rode the Bowlegs FD poker run today. It was an awesome ride and I didn't realize what a big ride this would be for a little Ole town. Alot of riders came out to support. Also got to see a few of my Trail of Tears Memorial Motorcycle Ride friends. Awesome day, Bryan and I broke away for lunch at Rudy's BBQ in Norman and caught up with everyone at Pops. We went to Seaba Station Museum and then to Rt 66 Bowl before heading home right around 410 miles round trip.

Awesome ride last Saturday with brothers from Blue Knights OK IV. Lawton PD Cops and Kids poker run. An approximately 300+ mile ride round trip. Weather was good until the ride home and HEAT!!!! Sure missed BK VIII President Billy Eades and the rain he normally brings!!

First off, a big thank you to Blue Knights OK VIII Chaplain Ricky Dobbs for riding with me this weekend to the Hoka Hey Rendezvous in Bardstown, KY. We rode Eight (8) States,Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas in four and a half days. My ending mileage was 2,432. Had a Great time seeing GODs creation and what beautiful work he done. Also meeting several people at the Hoka Hey Rendezvous who was very kind and generous with suggestions for 2026. BK OK VIII representing in the USA.

BLUE KNIGHTS OKLAHOMA VIII rode in the VFW Riders Post 4574 poker run this past Saturday, 06-07-2025. Great ride into Texas to two other VFW Posts, one in Nocona and the other in Muenster, I believe. Members attending, President Billy Eades and Diane Eades , Leslie Mose, Bryan Billey, Lynne James (photographer) and Patrick James.
