This year’s show was dedicated to an incredible hardworking couple who were a involved members of the community and CCJLS for years.
Todd and Linda Baughman are people with passion for agriculture and served the young people of Carter County Junior Livestock Show for years. After moving to Carter County in 2012, they quickly took to community involvement at the county show level, with their daughters Madi and Cassidy exhibiting livestock at CCJLS every year until they graduated.
Todd took on roles as CCJLS Board member and cattle superintendent, while Linda took over the CCJLS Ambassador team for several years.
Members of the community describe them as
“They are selfless and encouraging beyond measure. Their support has been the foundation of success for our community, the county show, and every exhibitor that walks through the ring at CCJLS.”
“I don’t know if I ever met someone who cared more about other’s success than Mrs. Baughman.”
“He’s one of the hardest working people I know. I absolutely got my ambition and drive to succeed in and out of the show ring from my dad.”
For their daughters, they instilled a love for agriculture and a passion for hard work and achieving greatness that they also instill in everyone they come into contact with, with Cassidy serving as a CCJLS ambassador for several years and Madi serving as the show's photographer for the last five years. We are so thankful for their time and dedication to serving Carter County youth and the livestock industry for many years, and are excited to dedicate the show to them.
