Ardmore City Schools Ardmore City Schools has been a champion for children since 1899. It is reported that 761 students attended the first month of school. Fast forward 115 years.

After 25 meetings over a period of seven months, Ardmore City Schools opened their doors for the first time on September 20, 1899; the place was Indian Territory. Ardmore City Schools is the largest school in Carter County and serves approximately 3,100 students each year.

🍿 Science is POPPING in 6th Grade at Jefferson! 🔬🌡️

Our 6th grade scientists turned snack time into science time while exploring how heat and changes in temperature affect matter! Students observed popcorn kernels as they were heated and connected what they saw to the concepts we’ve been learning in class.

It was a fun (and delicious!) way to see that the science we learn in the classroom is happening all around us every day.

Learning is always better when you can eat the experiment! 😋🔬🍿
