Carter County OSU Extension

Carter County OSU Extension The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service has been helping Oklahomans improve their lives since 1914.

We bring OSU to YOU by providing research-based information, resources, and programs to residents of Carter County in the areas of agriculture, horticulture, family consumer sciences, community nutrition, and youth development. By taking the knowledge gained from scientific research at Oklahoma State University and other land-grant colleges to the people of Oklahoma, Extension has worked to increa

se agricultural productivity and profitability; promote better family relationships, nutrition, and health; provide better community services; and encourage the development of our youth. OSU County Extension offices throughout the state put citizens in touch with research-based information from Oklahoma State University and the entire land-grant university system. This three-way county, state, and federal partnership has resulted in an effective and flexible organization -- one that is designed to meet the changing needs of the state's citizens while continuing to fulfill its historic role in improving the quality of life for all of the people of the state. In the 21st century, priority areas for Cooperative Extension efforts include:
•preserving and enhancing the positive aspects of rural and urban community life
•increasing human potential by providing educational opportunities
•protecting and sustaining the environment

The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service, a part of OSU's Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, is proudly continuing its tradition of bringing the University to you.

When local organizations connect, great things happen! 🤝
I had the honor and privilege of hosting Julie Maher, President of Carter County Oklahoma Home & Community Education, as our guest speaker at Ardmore Arbuckle Sunrise Rotary Club last Thursday. She spoke about the rich history of OHCE and OSU Extension, plus the incredible work CCOHCE does for families and our communities. 🏠✨
I encourage everyone to learn more about CCOHCE, Arbuckle Sunrise Rotary, and Carter County Extension, and see how we all share a deeply service-driven mission!
