🚒 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: FIREFIGHTER ELI CLARK 🚒

This week, we’re proud to spotlight Firefighter Eli Clark, Rank/Identifier 2416, and recognize his dedication to Ardmore Fire & Rescue.

Eli has been serving with Ardmore Fire & Rescue for 2.5 years. When he isn’t responding to calls or training, he enjoys working his shift with Tuscumbia City Fire Department, fishing 🎣, hunting 🦌, and going to the gym 💪.

We asked Eli a few questions to give our community a chance to get to know the firefighter behind the gear. 👇

1. What is your favorite piece of equipment, and why?
A Halligan — because it can be used to make a purchase point for extrication, force a door to get inside a fire, break windows to go inside and search, along with many other uses.

2. What is your favorite truck, and why?
Engine 224 — because it’s the most versatile truck in the fleet. It has rescue tools for extrication, water for fires, and medical supplies for patient care.

3. What three words would you use to describe your experience with Ardmore Fire & Rescue?
Close-knit. Expanding. Encouraging.

Those three words reflect what makes the fire service special — working together as a close-knit team, continuing to expand and improve, and encouraging one another along the way.

🔥☀️ KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. ACT FAST. STAY COOL. SAVE LIVES.

As temperatures rise, it’s important to recognize the warning signs of heat exhaustion vs. heat stroke. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can become life-threatening quickly.

💧 Drink plenty of water
🧢 Wear light, breathable clothing
☀️ Limit time in peak heat
👀 Check on family, friends, neighbors, and those most vulnerable to the heat

If you suspect heat stroke, call 911 immediately and begin cooling the person while waiting for help.

Stay safe, stay cool, and look out for one another. ❤️‍🔥

🚒 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: LT. GABE WARD 🚒

This week, we’re proud to spotlight Lieutenant Gabe Ward, who has dedicated the past 8 years serving with Ardmore Fire & Rescue.

When he’s not responding to calls or training, Gabe enjoys spending time at the fire station, working on vehicles, and spending time with friends. His passion for the fire service goes beyond responding to calls—it’s about the time he enjoys spending with the people and community around him.

We asked Gabe a few questions to give our community a chance to get to know the firefighter behind the gear. 👇

1. What is your favorite piece of equipment, and why?
Cutters & Spreaders — because they are versatile, universal tools that are built to be durable and dependable when we need them most.

2. What is your favorite truck, and why?
Heavy Rescue — because of the variety of tools and equipment it carries, allowing us to be prepared for the wide range of calls we respond to.

3. What three words would you use to describe your experience with Ardmore Fire & Rescue?
Rewarding. Family-Oriented. Growth.

For Gabe, those three words reflect what makes the fire service so meaningful — serving others, building strong relationships with the people beside you, and continuing to learn and grow through training and experience.

We are so grateful for our community, our first responders, our volunteers, our vendors, and everyone who helped make this event possible. It was a great night of fun, fellowship, and supporting our local police and fire departments!

☀️ What a wonderful way to wrap up the summer! 🚒❤️

Ardmore Fire & Rescue would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Community Baptist Church for inviting us to be part of such a great evening. It was a pleasure meeting so many wonderful families, showing off our trucks and equipment, and watching the kids explore, climb aboard, and learn about fire safety.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the event and spend time with us. Seeing the smiles, excitement, and community fellowship is what makes events like these so special.
