Attention Town of Arena Voters (Absentee)
Your vote is important! To ensure that your vote is counted, please fill out your absentee ballot as soon as possible-if you vote absentee-and return to one of the following:
DROP BOX at the Town Office (The box will be checked daily and ballots will be recorded as returned to WisVote.)
ARENA POST OFFICE-Take the completed ballot to the window, ask for it to be hand stamped and put in the Town mailbox #126.
REGULAR MAIL-please mail 2 weeks in advance (no later than July 28th) to be sure that your ballot arrives before the election.
BALLOTS RECEIVED AFTER 8:00 P.M. AUGUST 11TH CANNOT BE COUNTED.

Saturday, Aug. 8 there will be In-Person Absentee voting. 8 a.m. to noon.

🌡️ Beat the Heat, Iowa County! 🌡️

When temperatures rise, it's important to stay cool and protect your health. If you don't have access to air conditioning or need a place to cool down, check out these cooling locations.

🏛️ Cooling locations include:
• Dodgeville Public Library
• Cobb Public Library
• Mineral Point Library
• Barneveld Public Library
• Arena Fire Station
• Many local retail stores

📞 Please call ahead before visiting to confirm the location is open.

💧 Remember these heat safety tips:
✅ Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
✅ Stay indoors or in the shade during the hottest part of the day.
✅ Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
✅ Check on older adults, young children, neighbors, and anyone without air conditioning.
✅ Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.

Heat-related illness can happen quickly, but it's also preventable. Staying cool and looking out for one another helps keep our community safe.
