Thank you to Adirondack Technical Solutions and Argyle native Jared Humiston for the extremely generous donation of iPads to our department!
These iPads will allow us to gain further access to call locations and make it easier for us to navigate and improve our department!đźš’
Your generosity means so much to not only our department but to the Argyle Community as well!
This is the definition of community.
Argyle isn’t simply another town ADKtechs serves. It’s home for our president, Jared Humiston, and it has been part of his family’s story for generations.
Jared grew up in Argyle watching his dad work for the town’s highway department, helping care for the same roads and community his family traveled every day. It’s where Jared went from being a kid playing baseball to coaching the next generation of Argyle players. It’s where he started his family, built a business and learned firsthand that a community is strongest when people look out for one another.
That’s why donating iPads to the J.A.Barkley Hose Co.No.1 Inc. ( Argyle Fire/Rescue ) means so much to us.
These devices are more than screens.
They can help firefighters access important information, review maps and building details, complete reports, document incidents, participate in training and communicate more efficiently.
Whether they’re at the station, preparing for a call or working in the field, having information available when and where it’s needed can save valuable time and help the department stay organized and prepared.
The men and women of the Argyle Fire Department step away from their own families, dinners, holidays and everyday lives when someone in their community needs help. They don’t ask who you are or whether it’s a convenient time. They simply answer the call.
We’re proud to provide technology that can make their work a little easier, but this donation represents something much bigger to us.
It’s a son honoring the community his father helped care for. It’s a coach giving back to the town whose kids he now helps lead. It’s a local business remembering where it began. Most importantly, it’s neighbors supporting neighbors.
Argyle helped shape Jared, his family and ADKtechs. Supporting the people who protect it is one small way we can say thank you.
This is more than donating technology. This is taking care of home.
