Thank you to the (5) NHS Jrs students who not only helped "grab" litter around the stadium for an hour at the hottest part of the day afterschool, but who also brainstormed on what could be done to reduce it in the future ♻️ they were all hard working, high achieving, great communicators & you'll be proud to see the stadium SO CLEAN✨& if YOU are ever at the stadium, remind others to take their trash with them to the closest trashcan!

Take care of your trees in this heat 🔥very harmful to a tree if we get a deep freeze in the winter ❄️...get your hose out & give those 🌳🌳 a drink💦

Your trees are feeling the heat too 🌳☀️

High temperatures and limited rainfall can put stress on trees, especially young or recently planted ones.

During hot, dry conditions, pay attention to your tree and the moisture in the soil before reaching for the hose. Both too little and too much water can stress a tree and overwatering can contribute to tree decline.

When watering is needed, water slowly and deeply around the root zone rather than directly at the trunk. A layer of mulch can also help retain soil moisture and regulate soil temperature.

Watch for signs of stress, including wilting, leaf scorch, early leaf drop or canopy dieback.

Let's all reduce 💦 usage outside 🌳

Let's all reduce 💦 usage outside 🌳

‼️ Immediately we are now in Stage 2‼️ Unfortunately, we had two pump stations (wells) go down and need to initiate Stage 2 Water restrictions. We are working on getting them repaired as fast as possible. We have plenty of household and drinking water, but watering outside uses more water than you would think. So if everyone can do their part to help by limiting outside sprinklers we would appreciate it until we get this pump station back up and running.‼️ That means watering the lawns once per week. If this water demand continues to increase we will be forced to enter Stage 3 water restrictions and that enforces no outdoor water at all, no exceptions! Let’s all do our part and conserve as much as we can and please inform your neighbors.

You can pick one of your scheduled days from the stage 1 water restrictions guidelines below:

Odd: Thursday or Sunday
Even: Wednesday or Saturday

WHAT IS ALLOWED? :
Irrigation of landscape by means of faucet filled buckets, hand held hose, and drip irrigation on any day.

However, Hose-end sprinklers and Automatic Irrigation systems are to follow the ONE DAY schedule.

OUR GOAL: Achieve a reduction in total water usage, reduce daily demand, and increase available supply.

With your help we can decrease the demand and avoid further actions.

Thank you so much for taking action,

Argyle Water Supply
