April Events at The Library!
Special Events!

Library Chickens! – Come visit!

Crack open a world of wonder at the library as we wait for our feathered friends to make their big debut! From the first tiny peck to the very first chirp, come watch these adorable chicks hatch and grow right before your eyes. When they are ready, our chicks will be sold to support the library.

Weekly Events

Kids

Story Time – Almost Every Tuesday – 7rd, 14th, 21st, 28th – 10:00-11:00 – Story time with Ms. Jess! Join us for crafts, books, & play time. 0-4 years

Craft-er School Club – 1st Wednesday – 1st – 2:30-3:30 – Join us for new arts & crafts projects every week. 4 years and up.

Puzzles and Snacks – 3rd Wednesday – 15th – 2:30-3:30 – Brain building fun! From low tech to high tech, join us for after school puzzle time! Ages 8-18

Pre-K Meet Up – Almost Every Wednesday – 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th – Hang out at the library while you wait for the big kids to be dismissed from school. Pre-K

Teens

Teen Meet Up – Every Tuesday and Thursday – 2:30-4:00 – Come join us after school for puzzles, board games and time with friends! Quiet time is enforced after 3:30. Ages 12 and up.

Adults

Scrabble – Monday – 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th – 2:00-3:00 – Join your neighbors for a friendly but challenging game of scrabble. Adults only.

Tech Open House – Wednesday – 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th – 10:00-11:00 – An informal Q&A based technology class or individual tech help.

Busy Fingers Crafts – Tuesday- 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th – 3:00 – 4:00 – Hand crafters circle. Share tips with friends and neighbors. All crafters are welcome!

Mark your calendars! Our annual Plant Sale, Bake Sale, and Basket Raffle is back and has a new name! Introducing the Spring Extravaganza! Brought to you by the Friends of the Argyle Library, it's our most exciting event of the year! If you love our library as much as we do, this is the time you can show it!

If you are interested in donating a basket, contact Jess Harrington or reach out to the library. We've loved all of your creative ideas in the past and can't wait to see what baskets we receive this year! And if you aren't able to donate a basket, stop in and try your luck in winning a basket, or buy some amazing plants or baked goods on the day of the sale! It's always a great day and an amazing way to support our great library!

Stop in and check out our "Lending Library of Things". Did you know you can check out more than just books with your library card? And while you're borrowing an item, make sure you take a peep at our egg hatching progress!

🐥We're on Day 13 of chick hatching! Inside our library eggs now contain what look like tiny birds, finally! There are beaks, eyes, legs and wings! It won't be long now! 🐤

It's that time again! 🐣🐤🐥 We're hatching chickens at the library! This year the chicks will be for sale (make a donation to the Friends of the Argyle Free Library) Today is day 6 of incubation.
