SCK Health is excited to welcome Dr. Sunil Menon, Orthopedic Surgeon, to our team beginning November 9!

Dr. Menon brings extensive experience in joint replacement, orthopedic injuries, and fracture care, helping expand access to specialized orthopedic services right here at home.

His goal? Helping patients recover from injuries, regain mobility, and get back to doing the things they love.

His services will include:

✔️ Knee and shoulder arthroscopy
✔️ Carpal and cubital tunnel surgery

Your doctor matters. Make sure you understand your plan's rules.

One major difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage is how you access healthcare providers.

With Original Medicare, you can generally see any doctor or healthcare provider nationwide who accepts Medicare. You typically don't need referrals for covered services.

With Medicare Advantage, many plans use provider networks. Depending on the plan, you may need to select a primary care provider, obtain referrals, or receive prior authorization for certain services.

Before enrolling in or switching plans, ask:
💭Are my doctors and specialists in the plan's network?
💭Are the hospitals I use included?
💭Will I need referrals for specialist visits?
💭Could I face additional costs if I receive care outside the network?

Don't assume your current providers will remain covered under a different plan.

Ask questions before you make a change. Your access to care is an important part of your Medicare decision.

A flu vaccine is recommended for women who are pregnant or will be pregnant during flu season. Vaccination is the best way to protect not only yourself, but also your baby for the first 6 months of life. 🤰👣

Pregnant women are at higher risk for serious complications from flu, including pneumonia and premature labor.

Talk with your healthcare provider about how a flu vaccine can help keep you and your little one safe this season. 💛
