In the early mornings units were dispatched to stand by at their station for possible advancement to a structure fire. Moments later fire was confirmed and departments advanced. Upon arrival the fire was located in the back of the home. Personnel worked quickly to extinguish the fire, however it had already extended into the attic area. This created a difficult battle as there were two roofs and multiple layers of siding.
While in overhaul, units were dispatched to an MVA at the other end of town. Upon arrival officers confirmed there was one vehicle, but it was on fire. Personnel and equipment were moved rapidly and the flames were quickly extinguished. After clearing the MVA, members returned to the structure fire to continue overhaul.
A great job done by all members and great team work. 🚒👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Today at the fire house we were visited by Santa, but the Grinch wouldn't allow it to be just about him.

Then Santa went to visit down the street!

It was a busy day yesterday! We had multiple calls for down wires and then were called to provide mutual aid for a structure fire but were stood down soon after. Thank you to our dedicated members!

Holiday festivities in Arkville next weekend, Friday 12/19 to Sunday 12/21. Stop by the fire house 12/20 at 4pm to join us in a tree lighting. There will be Santa and possibly a surprise guest! Hope to see you all there! 🎄🎅
