As the new school year approaches, Wheeling Township is proud to assist families by ensuring their children have the supplies they need to start the school year prepared for success. Each year, the Ready 4 Success program collects donations of backpacks filled with required school supplies, and this year, our generous community donated 374 backpacks! Last week, members of the Social Services Department, along with Wheeling Township Trustee John Geier, helped children and parents select their backpacks, along with free toothbrushes as an added bonus. Thank you to everyone who donated to this important program!

If you or someone you know is still in need of a backpack for this school year, please email [email protected].
