Don't forget! Tomorrow is the Didgeridoo Down Under program! It starts at 7:00. Bring lawn chairs and or blankets because we will most likely be outside because of heat. The friends of the library and the Arlington City Library have given us the opportunity to see this unique program. I sure hope to see as many of you there.

It's Christmas! Come join us at the Arlington City library for "CHRISTMAS WITH THE GRINCH" All are welcome! We will have snacks and kid-friendly activities. You can even dress up in a "Grinchy" outfit. Maybe Cindy Lou Who will show up! I will personally be wearing Grinch pj's that evening! Anything will be great!

Wow what an amazing program we just finished. Our Reach for the Stars Program wrapped up and I wanted to share the results. Are you ready? We had 15 readers read a total of 6500 minutes and the library was able to get $419 worth of free books to share with our kids. What an amazing accomplishment! I want to thank all the children, parents and especially all the sponsors for helping our children keep reading. Reading is so very important so this is so much appreciated. Thank you all!

Also I want to shout out to our top 3 star readers! They are Etta, Ivy, and Olive Depew! These girls read over 45 hours in just a two week period! They worked hard for sponsorship and did a lot of reading! Way to go girls!!

The Usborne book fair will be closing at 2:00 today. However it's not to late to order online. We will close the online order on Thursday, June 30th. I'd like to thank you all for participating and supporting our library! It's a great place to be!

Wanted to remind you all even if you aren't in the program you are invited to the Usborne book fair that will be here at the library on Monday, June 27th from 8am-2 pm. Don't forget about this Thursday at 10:00 Jay & Leslie will be here with tricks, juggling and the story of the Tortoise and the Hare! Popcorn will be served and you can pick up your chart and start reading to use to fill out for a Hunk of Pizza from Cara's! All ages are welcome! Mom's and Dad's and Grandparents included! It will sure to be very entertaining!

I am wanting to touch base with you all to see what books you are interested in. I want to provide for you what is of interest to our patrons. If you would share with me that would be great. I would like titles and or authors you like to read. Is there any series we can build on? This request is for anybody that loves our library! Have a great rest of the day!
