🤔 Oh No 🚫 Say it “ain’t” so …

This #1 question I always get asked when a potential client calls for a notarial service is can you notarize my ____ document & #2 is how much will it cost.

Although these are important questions. Educating yourself about the basic practices & standards of our industry could SAVE you heartache long term. Notary 101 “Thou Shall Not Notarize family member docs” duh 🙈

This is a horrible reminder that there are unscrupulous folks out there.

A contractor allegedly got his mother to notarize a document without the homeowner being present. That's considered misconduct by the notary, and now both mother and son have been arrested for it.

Who’s RON?

Inquiring minds want to know.

RON not a guy! It’s the process of notarizing a document remotely through the use of electronic signature, identity verification, audio-visual communication and electronic notarial journal and record keeping technologies.

In simple terms this new technology allows you to meet with a notary in an online session similar to a ZOOM meeting or a FaceTime call. We are able to upload your documents by taking a photo. Then we sign, stamp & date them online. You are able to use the notarized documents immediately.

Have you ever thought about … ?

How it all began? Of course not. But here’s a quick timeline since you’re 🤔 💭 of it now!

Around 4,000 years ago as civilization 🗺 started, ancient Egyptian “scribes” or in other words notaries were established.

They were an essential part of the bureaucracy at the time. Now in present day this translates into a notary as being an essential worker in global crisis such as the pandemic of 2020. 🫶🏽

Later on during the Roman empire 🏛 the 1st methods were developed for making documents official with a notary’s trademark red wax stamp.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 This was followed by notaries being authorized in England. In the mid 1500’s once England separated from Rome changes were made. From there a law was passed in early 1800.

As of the 1900’s into 2000’s today there are notaries who have taken a sworn oath to assist you notarize your most important documents.
