The Arlington County Sheriff’s Office is a Nationally Accredited Law Enforcement Agency located in Northern Virginia. Approximately 270 sworn and civilian personnel serve a County population of almost 200,000.

Fingerprinting services to the public will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 5th from 12 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. The new public fingerprinting hours are as follows: Tuesdays/Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In observance of the New Year's holiday, the administrative offices of the Arlington County Sheriff's Office will be closed Thursday, December 31, 2020, and Friday, January 1, 2021. Normal business hours will resume Monday, January 4, 2021.

Congratulations to the newest members of the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office- the graduating class of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice (NVCJTA) Training Academy Session 143. All sixteen deputies were virtually sworn in by Circuit Court Clerk, Paul Ferguson as Arlington County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. They will officially graduate from the NVCJTA at a later date. 👏👏👏
A special shout to Domino's Pizza on N. Quincy Street in Arlington for donating 26 pizzas to the ACDF last Wednesday. It was a pleasant surprise to staff! Thank you!

A new dentist chair was installed in the ACDF's medical section this week. A big thank you to Lt. Laureano for getting this project up and running so quickly.
Our Dentist, Dr. W. Quershi, pictured with his Dental Assistant, Mr. J. Nance, works 24 hrs/ week ( Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday), and this year alone, he has completed over 70 extractions, 330 initial inmate visits, and over 70 urgent encounters. Last year, he performed 115 urgent encounters, over 920 initial inmate visits, and completed over 150 critical extractions.
ATTENTION: All fingerprinting services will be suspended for the next two weeks and we will reevaluate at that time.
Last weekend, Sgt. Chambers son’s Cub Scout troop organized a food drive entitled “Scouting for Food”. They collected, as a troop over 1800 pounds of food for their local area food pantry. Great job, Scouts! 👏👏

Every year the Sheriff’s Office does a food drive and is SUPER proud of our donation to Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC)! Due to COVID-19, we decided to try something a little different, a cereal drive competition. All proceeds will be donated to AFAC. Let the competition begin!!

Introducing the newest employee of the ACSO, K-9 Logan. Logan was “sworn in” yesterday by Circut Court Clerk, Mr. Paul Ferguson with Sheriff Arthur and his handler, Cpl. Camardi by his side. As you can see via the photos and video, K-9 Logan is eager to start his new job.

Last Saturday, February 24th, Deputies Grubar, Camardi and Lt. McMicheal participated in the annual Special Olympics Virginia Polar Plunge at Times River Shore in Prince William County, Virginia. The event raised over $95,000 for Special Olympics Virginia.
