Today, Sheriff Arthur, Chief Quiroz, and Captain Burgess (wife Carol Burgess) attended the Challenging Racism 5K race to end racism.
The Sheriff’s Office has worked closely with Director, Alicia McLeod and her incredible team, to include Monique Brown to initiate open dialogue within the agency, educate, and take action to move this conversation forward.
Congratulations to Corporal Rivas for being the recipient of the 2022 Arlington County Crime Solvers Award!!
Corporal Rivas received this award for her outstanding work, dedication and compassion to those individuals who are suffering with opioid use disorder.

Congratulations to our Pretrial Staff who received the Law Enforcement Award from the Optimist Club of Arlington yesterday!!!
Pretrial staff were awarded for their exemplary service to the County of Arlington by supervising, monitoring and assisting with finding services for program participants released to the community awaiting their upcoming court hearing.

This is a day to celebrate the transformative and critical role that teachers play in growing learners' potential. Thank you for all you do Mr. Wallace to support education for the individuals remanded to our custody.
This week we celebrated the retirement of Corporal Pemberton! 38 years of service to Arlington County. The Sheriff’s Office will miss you greatly S66 but enjoy retirement, it’s well deserved!

Sheriff Arthur and some of her incredible staff just returned from the Virginia Sheriff’s Association conference in Virginia Beach. A beautiful location to soak up a lot of information, speak to new vendors, and enjoy “down time” together.
The conference hosts a reception on the last evening and we were able to snap a shot of some of the the best Sheriff’s in the Commonwealth 🤩
9/11 race day! Sheriff Arthur, Chief Quiroz, Staff and their families came out to run and walk the 5K. A wonderful event and a beautiful evening to be out.
Today Arlington Public Safety came together to take a moment of silence for the lives lost on September 11, 2001. On a day that so many lost so much, we honor those losses and their families. We are thankful for those that serve our communities each day.
