The Arlington County Virginia – Government Reentry Council deeply appreciates the contributions from the Sheriff's Office and Keefe Commissary Network. There was a wide range of remarkable reentry resources and services provided by our Arlington County Reentry Initiative/Arlington Sheriff's Office and the other Reentry Council Community Partners seen here Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) Pathforwardva and more. The community participants wholeheartedly embraced the giveaways of winter gear, valuable information/support for reentry resources, and the graciously provided refreshments. It is truly inspiring to hear the second chance stories of overcoming the challenges those recently released from jail face in their daily lives by utilizing learned reentry skills and community support services. We also find it incredibly gratifying when they and their loved ones take the time to express their gratitude for the support and care their family members received while at the ACDF.

The Arlington County Sheriff Office's Community Readiness Unit (CRU) would like to express a heartfelt appreciation to OAR of Arlington, Alexandria, and Falls Church for graciously hosting our 2023 Gratitude Gathering. During the event, one of the attendees shared with the group that the small, yet intentional details, like enjoying a meal on a cloth tablecloth, held profound significance to them. This thoughtful gesture made them feel valued and genuinely cared for. We are grateful for OAR and their kindness and generosity.
