People are going around the neighborhood saying that they're with a reno company that is doing work nearby. They told me they could see (in the dark) that I have an old roof (15-20 years according to the woman) that needs to be replaced. The roof was just installed in the spring. It's a scam or disreputable company. Ignore them or send them packing.

Keep your dogs and other animals safe, leash your dog. It's the law. § 2-6. Leashing Dogs.
All dogs shall be kept secured by a leash or lead, and under the control of the owner or other responsible person, or within the real property limits of its owners. A waiver to this requirement for a specific time and place may be obtained from the animal warden's office for such activities as off-lead training, obedience matches and trials, when the dog has a skin condition which would be exacerbated by the wearing of a collar, and other activities which promote animal control. Nothing in this section of the County Code nor in any other section shall be deemed to make unlawful the exercising of dogs not upon a leash in areas of the County specifically designated for such exercising.

PLEASE HELP FIND DAKOTA -- ARLINGTON VA LOST DOG. Please help find Dakota – 5 years old, hard of hearing. She’s on seizure medication, which may make her loopy. She is super sweet, possibly disoriented, and can be extremely shy around those she doesn't know. She is not wearing a collar (had a bath right before being let out to do her business). She was last seen around 10pm Monday, Jan 27 near the soccer field at Benjamin Banneker Park, near East Falls Church Metro (N.Roosevelt/N.Sycamore area). PLEASE SHARE!

If anyone needs to hire an HVAC contractor I highly recommend Delta HVAC from Alexandria. They are extremely good at their jobs AND also very honest. I never have felt like I'm being overcharged. They take their time, explain things to you and give the best service imaginable. If you have other contractors and repairmen that you'd like to recommend, please share them here! :)
