We were all saddened and shocked to hear the news tonight of the passing of FedEx founder, Fred Smith.
Not only will Mr. Smith be remembered for literally changing the way the world does business, but also for his philanthropic support for local and global causes.
Fred Smith was a Marine who served two tours in Vietnam and was also a lifetime member of our detachment. The loss of this great business man and patriot is immense.
Semper Fi, Captain Smith.
