Our native Texas Frostweed put on a show for us this morning 🥶
When the first frost of the year occurs, the frostweed’s stem splits and releases sap and water from its roots. The moisture freezes and expands, pushing out through the stem as ice crystals that look like ribbons.
Nature is amazing!
