We need diaper donations! We are out of diapers to help our (little) clients in need. Bring your boxes of diapers -- larger sizes preferred -- to our warehouse entrance at the back of our parking lot (811 Secretary Drive).
What a kind gesture! Tasneem brought in 57 bright and beautiful handmade cards from the K thru 8th-grade "Pantry Pen Pals" at Arlington Classics Academy. These thoughtful cards will bring a smile to our senior friends in our home delivery program -- now I'm smiling!

An energetic and enthusiastic team from Alpha Omega - UTA Campus Ministry volunteered to help us get our facility cleaned up and ready for a new year. Your service on MLK Day was a gift to all of us at Arlington Charities. Spring cleaning in January -- thank you ALL!

A very special thank you to an anonymous angel: In memory of her brother whom she lost last week, "R" donated 100 sandwiches and jars of peanut butter for our neighbors who are homeless. Our hearts go out to her and are also filled with love for her selfless gift. Thank you.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday, January 16. We will not be hosting regular drive-through service on this day.
What a team! This father-son duo volunteers together every Thursday ensuring that all our drive-through pantry clients receive a good assortment of protein, produce, bakery and dairy. Thanks, Justin and Gary for all you do.

Baby, it's cold outside. We need sleeping bags, coats, hats, gloves, backpacks, hand warmers, men's socks, and blankets, for those experiencing homelessness. We had a good stash before the holidays, but it is almost gone. If you can donate these items, drop them off at our warehouse entrance at the back of our parking lot between the hours of 8:30 am and 1 pm.
Don't you just love potatoes? We found one that loves you back! We have lots of potatoes to share this week -- enjoy!

Volunteers are the backbone of our mighty food pantry. Many of these folks commit to working at the pantry on a regular basis, some are here as often as five days a week! We appreciate your time and admire your dedication - thank you.

Two truckloads of thanks to Applied Avionics, Inc. who donated 1,552 lbs. of food, plus pet food, and toys!! Your generosity makes us feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, and we will share your gifts with those who need them most.
A big SHOUT-OUT to Shady Valley Country Club who donated 100% of the proceeds from their Show & Shine Car Show last month to support our hunger relief programs. Thanks to Membership Director, Carol Selman for organizing this effort and dropping off the generous check!
Friday, December 23 is the last day for (by appointment) distribution of supplemental groceries. Our facility WILL BE CLOSED Monday, December 26 through Friday, December 30. We will resume regular service on Monday, January 2.

Join us tomorrow, November 12 at SAUMC - St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Arlington TX located at 2045 Green Oaks Blvd, 76018 for our 2nd Saturday Mobile Food Market. The line opens at 8:30am till all food is gone. This is a free event with free groceries for those who need it. No residency restrictions or appointment needed. Food distribution is on a first-come, first-serve basis. So plan to get there early!

It’s ’fill your fridge’ Friday! If you are short on cash and in need of supplemental groceries, we’ve got you covered. Ready - Set - GO! Our 4th Friday Mobile Food Market was a speedy success due to the work of our outstanding staff and volunteers. We served nearly 240 families with supplemental groceries including frozen chicken, fresh produce, dairy products, canned goods and more. Special thanks to the extra helping hands from Northwest Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Park Place Motorcars Arlington and the LDS Elders and Sisters who helped make today's event smooth and seamless!
HIGH FIVE to Arlington residents for their food donations and to our city’s postal carriers for collecting the Stamp Out Hunger donations, an annual National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive. A truckload of non-perishable food items were delivered, unloaded and sorted by volunteers from Gateway Southlake and Gateway Grand Prairie. We are so grateful for all the helping hands.

On Saturday a group of volunteers from Arlington Charities and SAUMC - St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Arlington TX woke up bright and early to run our St. Andrews Mobile Food Market. When you are feeding hundreds of families in need, you need a hardworking group that runs like a well oiled machine. These seasoned veterans knew how to get the job done! Everyone had a job to do whether they were directing traffic, packing bags of food, loading cars, or helping with setup.

Arlington Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helping to stabilize families, individuals and the homeless by helping them cover their most basic needs. The charity specializes in food, clothing, hygiene items, financial literacy classes, food and toys for the holidays, and information and referral services. We were founded in 1978 and have been dutifully serving the Arlington Community for over 40 years. AC is currently the largest food pantry in the city and the only client choice pantry for local individuals! We try to make a big difference in our community. In 2017 the charity served over 55,000 residents with over 1,067,549 pounds of food.
