Arlington County Virginia

Arlington County Virginia Washington Metropolitan Area Arlington County is located on the Potomac River directly across from the District of Columbia.

It originally became part of the District of Columbia in 1801, but was ceded back to the state of Virginia in 1846. The city of Arlington is the county's seat, and it is best known for the Arlington National Cemetery. Other communities in Arlington County include Crystal City, Rosslyn, and Courthouse neighborhood, Many government agencies are housed in Arlington County and the most prominent structure being the Pentagon building.
