There is no better way to start your day than by witnessing the Leaf Truck, one of my favorite things about living in Arlington!
Kudos to our hard working County Environmental Services workers who keep essential services such as trash removal and curbside recycling going during the COVID-19 pandemic, March 19, 2020
Arlington County Department of Environmental Services I love that you all have compost drop off! When dropping off food scraps, is it ok if it's in a Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) Certified green compost bag, like this one?
Spotted at South Glebe and 2nd over the weekend. I guess we're happy they didn't just leave it at a recycling center??? :-)
What is the height limit for your parking garage near the Medstar Capital Icecomplex? My friend has an 8 foot van and is looking for somewhere to park it to attend a Capitals even at the complex.
DYK? It is surprisingly satisfying to pitch glass bottles into the purple and green dumpsters at the end of a long day. Both me and the guy next to me left with big smiles on our faces. Highly recommend!
Hey Arlington, why is it ok for people to leave these scooters in the middle of sidewalks? For everyone, but especially those with various disabilities, it makes it extremely difficult (sometimes impossible on narrow sidewalks) to navigate a sidewalk. Why are the companies that own these things not required to have storage locations like bikeshare?
Hi folks! Are old CDs recyclable? I didn't see them on the "Where Does It Go?" list. Thanks!
Are you all EVER going to be done with the constant underground work along Columbia Pike? It's taking FOREVER! I've lived in the same place for 11 years and Columbia Pike has been under construction the entire time!

It is a horrible feeling to have to feel helpless and desperate and I feel both. After one year of living near El Polo Rico I was diagnosed with sever asthma that needs constant medication to be functional. Everytime I get home from work my asthma starts acting up because the disgusting smell of chicken grease. I called anyone and anything to get it fixed and after being transferred thousands of time NOTHING has been done. The resturant is beyond rude when you nicely ask them to be neighborly and do something(forget their 6am garbage transfer that seems to be their way to punish me and others to complain) ... their response is a wise a$* smirk and say "report us" because they know, they know, they know they can get away with it. I often daydream about taking them to the court and getting them to pay for hours no end that I had to feel like drowning (if you ever had asthma you know what i mean) . I dont know the long term effects of my body being under so much stress for histamine release overdose. I'm praying and hoping someone reads this and come to rescue. This is being done in plane sight, Air pollution is like water pollution, it can be deadly ...There should be NO SMELL from any resturant. Why is there at the age of technology any reason for that??? The smell is VISIBLE TO THE EYE ... IT LOOKS LIKE OLD LONDON FOG AFTER 5PM EVERYDAY. what's my next step? Please help!!!!! No seriously Arlington DO SOMETHING (dont just ask for a bs filter replacement, it is not working)
