North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center

North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center Welcome to the page of the North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center. Who We Are: The North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center (NCTADRC) is an inter-agency initiative, funded by a special grant from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability, and supported by a number of lead and partner agencies.
(1)

Lead agencies serve on the NCTADRC steering committee. They include the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Regional Local Services, the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging, United Way of Hood County, United Way of Denton County, REACH Resource Centers on Independent Living, LifePath Systems, Denton County MHMR, and Pecan Valley MHMR. The NCTADRC has more than 50 partner agencies. Although the terms of partnership vary, each partner agency designates at least one staff person who agrees to serve as a resource to professionals or consumers who need human services. In addition, partner agencies may help conduct or participate in training and promote ADRC events. The NCTADRC serves three communities—Collin County, Denton County, and Hood/Somervell counties. Each community has a local project coordinator who maintains distribution lists and works with local agencies to implement ADRC activities. If you’d like to be placed on the distribution list for ADRC notices, contact the local project coordinator.
