The 2026 VCS fundraising event committee got together again this week to conduct one last walk-through of this year's event venue before finalizing the location... how does a September evening at Glen Eagle Golf Course in Arlington sound?! 👌🏽🥂🎟

Yesterday, our Voices of the Village band performed on stage at Tulip Tunes during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival... and they did an incredible job! 👏🏽🎤🌷

Programs like this matter. Music gives individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities an outlet to build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

We’re proud of every single one of our VOV members for showing up, stepping on stage, and sharing their talents with the community.

There’s something so special about seeing our Voices of the Village band take the stage. Yesterday at Tulip Tunes during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, they did just that - sharing their talent, their energy, and their love of music with the entire community. 🌷🎶👏🏽

Saying that we’re proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. This is what it looks like when people are given the space to grow, express themselves, and truly shine.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Village Housing open houses in Arlington and Mount Vernon. 🫶🏽🏠

We appreciated the opportunity to welcome community members, partners, and families into these spaces - sharing a closer look at the progress being made and the intention behind each home.

The Arlington home is now complete and beginning to welcome its first residents, while the Mount Vernon homes are in their final stages and coming together quickly.

We’re grateful to everyone who took the time to stop by, ask questions, and learn more about this housing model. Your support plays an important role in helping move this work forward.

This week marked something really special for Village Housing. Surrounded by the people who have supported her every step of the way, our first resident has officially moved into her new home in Arlington - fresh off a full remodel just recently completed. 🏠✨🫶🏽

There's a lot that goes into a moment like this. Months of planning, coordination, and care - all leading to the simple, meaningful milestone of having a place to call your own.

For the individuals and families we serve, housing isn't just about a roof overhead. It's about stability, dignity, and the opportunity to live with greater independence. And in a time when accessible and affordable housing is increasingly difficult to find, this moment carries even more weight.

We're incredibly proud of what this represents - not just for one resident (for now!), but for what's possible moving forward.
