My kids and I are really enjoying the virtual story times. Well done!
Added Mary McDonough's visit to the downtown Arlington Public Library to my YouTube channel,
Added a promo video to my YouTube channel for Mary McDonough's appearance at the library,
Video games in an open area was a very poor decision. I'm there with my 3 year old and hear 5 unsupervised kids screaming "shoot him, don't kill me, get that gun" at full volume for an hour while I'm trying to get books with my kids. The librarian did nothing to quiet the kids. It's a bad decision and it ruins the experience for everyone else. Shame on whoever is in charge that thinks "shooting killing and guns" belong in the same space as cat in the hat. Shame on the librarians for not doing their job and reigning in over simulated kids. We will visit other libraries that also offer play spaces but places where children can play quietly with their imagination and without spoiling the experience for those that actually follow the rules.
Please put the video games in a private room. Hearing unsupervised unruly children screaming about shooting and guns and killing next to Dr Seuss books is extremely annoying. The librarian does nothing to ask the kids to calm down or be quiet. I get that we are all in to fun spaces but it's not fun to be inconsiderate to others and it's still a library. Why do I need my 3 year old repeating I'm going to shoot you because a librarian can't do their job and keep order. It's unfair to people that follow the rules.
Please put the video games in a private room. Hearing unsupervised children screaming about killing and guns and shooting at full volume while librarians refuse to stop them is very annoying. My young kids don't need to hear that next to books about the cat in the hat.
I wish they would put the video games in a private room. Walking with my young children hearing unsupervised kids screaming "kill that thing, shoot that, you killed me" at full volume is not what I find appropriate for a library. Really ridiculous that the so called librarians did nothing, because they were listening to music with their blue tooth headphones.
where can I get ESL classes schedule ??? please..
The staff is very rude. Always on their cell phone. Practice what you preach.
