To many, Dolly Parton was an iconic singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, and more. For libraries, she was an inspiration. Through the Dollywood Foundation, Dolly Parton has helped millions of children grow in literacy through her free Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Over 300,000,000 books across 5 countries have been gifted to young families with children under 5 years of age since it's inception in 1995. Dolly understood the power of reading and service. She will be greatly missed by everyone here at the Arlington Public Library.

Arlington Public Library is excited to announce that we’ve been awarded a $25,386 Special Projects Grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. This funding will expand our neurodiverse programming for adults, helping us create welcoming environments where community members of all abilities feel comfortable participating and engaging in library activities.

We are grateful to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission for their continued support of our efforts to serve Arlington’s diverse community.
