One more day until the Arlington Patriots' Day Parade strolls through town. What will you be doing Sunday at 2:00 pm? We will be honoring heros like Elias Katsos one of Arlington's WWII Purple Heart Receipients; our military including The Old Guard from Washington DC, our local Veterans' Council, as well as our Police and Fire. We will be thanking Bob Bowes for his many years of service to the Community. We will be Honoring our tradition and celebrating our history with appearences from the Minutemen, Militia, and of course the Red Coats. Be sure to watch out for the Muskets and Canons. We will be dancing in the streets with the Woodland Strings Band from Philadelphia; Pipes and Drums from the Irish American Police Officers Association, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians; Music from the Dirty Water Brass Band, Boston Windjammers, Waltham American Legion Band, Roma Band Musicians, New Magnolia Jazz Band, Tony Barrie Marching Band, and Shriners Brass Band and Oriental Band; not to mention dancing with the stars of Lynn and Jen's Dance Studio. We will be enteretained by Pirates, Clowns, Chinese Lion Dancers, Shriners, Miss Massachusetts, Rockin' Robbins Library Book Truck Drill Team, and an Uncle Sam Stilt Walker. They will come in Antique and Classic Cars, Mini Haulers, Trikes, Motorcycles, Go Carts, Ragtops, Fire Engines, Ambulance, Fishmobiles, Soap Box Derby's, and on Horseback. We will be celebrating our future and our community with our local and state politicians, Council on Aging, Food Link, The Family Connection, Girl Scouts, Green Teams, Our future Baseball and Basketball Stars, Arlington Center for the Arts, HeatSmart, Arlington Committee of Tourism and Economic Development, the Chamber of Commerce, Animal Control Officer, Regent Theatre, Knights of Columbus, Lodge of Elks, Touch Down Club, and American Legion.
