Thank you to everyone who has attended one of the six town halls to provide feedback on the draft of the Innovate Arlington Comprehensive Plan. The plan provides a long-range guide for how Arlington can grow, invest and make decisions over the next 20 years.

There are still a few days to review the plan and provide feedback. Residents are encouraged to review the draft, leave comments online and identify areas that may need clarification or improvement by Sept. 7.

The Arlington Police Department is joining a multi-agency effort to step up traffic enforcement during the Labor Day weekend. From Sept. 4 - 6, APD will increase the number of officers patrolling I-20, I-30, and State Highway 360, looking for impaired or aggressive drivers.

APD urges drivers to follow all traffic laws and make responsible choices during Labor Day Weekend. The city's Safe Streets Arlington plan seeks to eliminate all roadway traffic deaths and injuries in Arlington.

The murals are planned to be installed in phases beginning in August and finishing in November and are being funded through the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation.
