Kings County Firefighters have completed our annual wildland refresher training, with LNAS firefighters joining us for the training. With vegetation already dry and crews currently deployed out of county, preparedness remains a top priority as we head into fire season. Stay safe and fire aware, Kings County!

This week, Kings County Firefighters, at Station6-Island, welcomed students from Island School to the station for their annual Multiplication BBQ Reward! Students enjoyed hot dogs, cooling off with water activities, and spending time with our firefighters.

We always enjoy supporting and celebrating our local students and their hard work in the classroom!

It was a great morning spent with students, staff, and families, sharing smiles, stories, and community spirit. The Kings County Firefighters Association extends our sincere appreciation to the Kings County Board of Supervisors and Fire Chief John Chamberlin for prioritizing the safety and working conditions of our members.

We recognize the decision to terminate the contract with the City of Avenal was a difficult one. However, we firmly stand behind the decision made by the Board and Fire Chief, as it reflects a clear commitment to protecting the men and women on the front lines and ensuring safe, sustainable operations.

We also recognize the impact this decision may have on the citizens of Avenal. Our commitment to public safety remains unchanged, and we will continue to stand ready to serve and support our communities whenever called upon.
