HI, everyone! It's been awhile, I know. Two new programs to tell you about. First , for all you Tolkien fans out there, is our Hobbit party! You should be able to see the flyer on this page. Then, I want your advice! I'll be contacting members of our teen advisory board to see when and if they can come to a meeting. But new members are welcome! If you've got ideas about what the library can do for you and other kids, we want to hear from you!

Oh, and don't forget our 50th anniversary Who celebration, coming up on Friday! Lots of exciting events planned, and we'll be showing the first "Dr. Who" episode ever aired! As they used to say back in the stone age, be there or be square!

Congratulations to Stephanie Ding! Stephanie just took first place in the OCA- WHV student leadership award. Well deserved - Stephanie founded homework club at the library and has tutored younger children for over 18 months now.

Hi! We've got a lot going on at the library this month. First of all, Norma Chang is back! If you love to cook and/or love Chinese food, you won't want to miss this program. We've also got a new Wii U for Game Club, and a couple of cool new games, including this one. So call us, email, or come in to the lIbrary to see all the cool stuff that's happening!

Um - somehow the first young artist didn't go through. Two young people from Armonk are doing fascinating things with art and design. I especially like what Philip Romano is doing with his car! There's a video, too - be sure to take a look!

He might be the only New Yorker who welcomes people to graffiti his car. Artist Philip Romano, 20, covered his 2004 Hyundai Elantra in a chalkboard coating and invites strangers to draw on the ride. He even provides the chalk.

Norma Chang's cooking class comes back to the library! 15 lucky teens and tweens will get to cook and eat chicken stir fry. If you've never been to this great program, sign up and come - the food is delicious! If you have, you'll already know you want to come again. The fun starts at 3:30 on Friday, April 19. Everyone over 10 is welcome to sign up!

You know what happens on April 1? Yeah, yeah - people play pranks on other people; it's April fool's day. But, in addition, we'll be getting something new in the library. Local teen Dani Kravette will be dropping off a box. She and her brother Jordan are looking for donations for kids who might not be able to afford gear for camp. It's a great cause and they've done it for years, so check out the box and pick up something to put in it so a poor kid can have fun this summer!

Patricia Dunn was fascinating! And she's written such a fun book. I really recommend it. Don't forget our Dr. Who marathon this afternoon! I've given up on the fish fingers (I think), but there should be some interesting goodies and lots of Who!

Hi - take a look at the blog on our "official" teen page for more information - teen read week is coming up, and we've got a couple of exciting events scheduled. Patricia Dunn, author of "Rebels By Accident", will be visiting the library at 3:30 on Thursday, October 18. She's written a great story and readers of all ages who are interested in current events or writing should really enjoy this event. Next, although this isn't firm yet, we're planning a 6 hour Who marathon, starting at 3:00 on Friday October 19. Come to one or both of these events - they're free, like all our programs, and they should be great!
