The TDA school trap shooting team of six members showed up Saturday, June 11, 2022, and placed 19th in state trap tournament at the Aberdeen Gun Club. Over 30 teams participated in Saturday’s 1A competition. The TDA Nighthawks hit 412 targets.
In the individual Varsity portion of the competition, TDA’s, Landon VanZee hit 93 targets placing 21st. Max Hartman hit 90 targets placing him at 43rd.
In the Boy’s Junior Varsity division Kase Brouwer hit 80 of his targets giving him 42nd place. Shea Kjeldgaard shot a 75 giving him a 64th place finish. Brayden Ziegler shot a 74 placing him at 64th.
TDA’s Alexis Hoffman hit 34 targets in the Girl’s Novice division and giving her a 32nd place finish.
In the regular season High School Trap season, we had 11 students that participated with the TDA Trap team. The team members are Oakley Spaans, Thomas Stremick, Alexis Hoffman, Matt Messer, Brayden Ziegler, Nicolette Hoffman, Shea Kjeldgaard, Jayden Johnson, Kase Brouwer, Max Hartman and Landon VanZee.
The TDA High School placed second in the 2022 Class 1A-Conference 2. Great job to all the kids this year and we hope to see these kids and more of the other kids compete in the state tournament next year!

We are hosting Shotgun training May 7th in Armour if anyone is interested. Would love to get more Shotgun volunteers.

SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports coaches training for the shotgun disciple on Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT at the Douglas County 4-H Building in Armour, S.D.
