Saturday Morning Update: We'll have a growing risk of thunderstorms overnight into Sunday morning, a few of which could be strong to severe.

HOWEVER, we're watching a higher potential for severe weather Sunday afternoon into the early overnight hours. This level 3 of 5 event could bring very large hail in storms (2"+) along with straight line winds. There will also be an increased risk of tornadoes.

Here's something important to remember. Being in an outlook doesn't guarantee you'll see severe weather in your backyard, BUT the potential for it developing is higher. There are still several factors we're watching that could impact our risks and storm development on Sunday. The best thing you can do is be weather aware and have a plan when/if storms develop.

Douglas Countys burn ban is temporarily lifted. If you plan to burn, take a moment to look ahead at the weather for the next few days/week. Even a short stretch of wind and low humidity can dry fuels out fast. Please burn responsibly and stay safe.
