Again, there's some uncertainty whether any storms will pop up in our area, but the conditions are changing. It's hot and humid outside and that often leads to storms. If anything definitive comes along we will certainly update our page. Be weather aware and watch for rapidly changing conditions. The Lutheran Church here in the city is the local storm shelter in case the sirens go off. Stay safe folks.

There's a lot of uncertainty with this storm system. Several different news sites are reporting different information making it hard to know what to expect. It's hot, humid and that makes for wicked weather. If things do get nasty later on this afternoon / evening remember that the Lutheran Church here in Arnegard is the shelter point. The ARFD will have EMS personnel at that location if the sirens are activated or if things do get bad. We will update our page if and when there are updates. Stay safe folks.

EXTREME FIRE INDEX again today folks. High winds, low humidity and lots of fuel will make any fires that do start very difficult to extinguish. Be mindful of any off-road travel, trailer chains, smoking materials or anything that may cause a spark. Dial 911 right away if you see smoke. Please be careful folks.
