As a lifelong resident and a graduate of the Fox School District, I have watched our community grow and change for decades. My roots here run deep: I am the son of two retired district employees, the father of four recent Fox graduates, and I have spent the last 19 years on the mats coaching our youth in the Junior League wrestling program.
I love this district, but like many of you, I have been concerned by the growing "us versus them" atmosphere that has surfaced in recent years. This division doesn't serve our students, and it doesn't reflect the community I know. That is why I have decided to run for the Fox C-6 School Board.
My career has been defined by service—first through 20 years in the military and then 17 years as a IT contractor. These roles taught me that leadership isn't about winning arguments; it’s about accountability, problem-solving, and bringing people together to achieve a common mission.
If elected, my priority is to turn division into partnership. I am committed to:
Restoring Trust: By ensuring that communication is regular, transparent, and that information is shared publicly and honestly.
Supporting our Front Lines: Giving our teachers, staff, and parents the resources and respect they need to help every student succeed.
Accountable Stewardship: Making sure every tax dollar is managed responsibly, with a "students-first" mindset.
We have an incredible opportunity to build a top-performing district that we can all be proud of. I am asking for your vote so that we can move forward together—not as factions, but as a united community dedicated to the success of our children.
Sincerely,
Joe Looney Candidate for Fox C-6 School Board
