Not only do we have a fish tank in the visitor center, but each fish is named after a famous Arrow Rock resident! Have you come by to meet the fish before?

*To help answer some questions $5 entry fee per dessert/pie. Bring items to the Arrow Rock Visitor Center Pies/desserts will become part of the fundraiser after entry so leftovers may be auctioned off or served with meal. So best to use disposable pans if possible if not you can pick up pie plates and containers at Visitor Center the following week. We do have refrigerators for cream Pies. Judging will be done at 1:30pm in a closed room. Results will be announced at 4pm on the main street stage.

We finally have the chance to settle that Thanksgiving debate on who makes the best pie at the Summer Social in Arrow Rock September 19th. If you have a yummy pie or general dessert recipe and want to compete for the legendary "golden" fork now is your chance!

All proceeds go to the Arrow Rock Schoolhouse project :) $5 dollar registration fee for each dessert you enter and no limit on how many you can enter.

30 years of Dedication to Missouri State Parks!! Congratulations to Terry Anderson for her continued dedication to the mission of Missouri State Parks. Terry began her State Park career at Arrow Rock in July of 1996 and we are glad to welcome her back to Arrow Rock after some time spent at Van Meter and Bothwell SHS. Terry has jumped in like she never left. Congratulations Terry on a job well done and Thank you for your dedication to the State Parks Mission.

Do you have your Labor Day Weekend plans yet? Well, we have three events on Saturday 9/5. First, we have Friends of Arrow Rock's First Saturday Lecture at 10 am, followed by Meet the Artist with Shawn Cooper from 11-2. Cooper is a local artist who is on exhibit in the museum currently. Later that evening at 7 pm we will have a concert in the park with Kylee Griffin. We hope to see you there!

Have you or a loved one been the victim of a closed building on a Monday or Tuesday at Arrow Rock SHS? Well not anymore! Now all 4 of the self-guided buildings will be open from 10 am to 3 pm all week long. So come on out to see the Dr. Hall House, the Shelby Cabin, the Print Shop Museum, and the Courthouse (and remember to vote!)

Our Sasquatch is on the move again! If you see him make sure to take a picture and show us in the visitor center to get your button. Remember, the button changes with each location change so collect them all!

Sasquatch was last seen trying on life jackets! His last location was in the prairie.
