Yesterday afternoon, the Arrowbear Lake Fire Department responded as part of an Immediate Need Strike Team to the Shore Fire in Riverside County. Department personnel were mobilized to assist with fire suppression operations alongside regional mutual aid partners. We are proud to support our neighboring communities and remain committed to providing professional emergency services whenever and wherever needed.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Arrowbear Lake Fire Firefighters Association Picnic has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Trucker Field.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility and look forward to seeing you there for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun.

ABLFD is excited to introduce the newest addition to our fleet, Brush Engine 271. This 2010 International Type 3 engine came to ABLFD from the U.S. Forest Service through the Federal Excess Property Program (FEPP). Valued at over $200,000, the unit was acquired at no cost to ABLFD, aside from a fresh paint job and some minor maintenance. This is just another way your fire department remains committed to providing the community with the best equipment at the best value.

Effective May 1, 2026, CAL FIRE San Bernardino Unit will suspend all residential burn permits within State Responsibility Areas due to increasing fire danger and seasonal conditions.

This suspension helps reduce wildfire risk as temperatures rise, fuels continue to dry, and conditions become more susceptible to rapid fire spread.

Outdoor burning of landscape debris is no longer allowed during this period.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant, maintain defensible space, and utilize alternative methods for vegetation disposal.
