Be cautious around low water crossings, and please do not go around road-closed signs. They are up for a very good reason. Stay safe, Eddy County!

Here is a look at the forecast additional rainfall through Wednesday morning. The greatest additional precipitation will occur over southeast New Mexico and the Highway 54 corridor. Heavy rain poses a risk for flooding over roadways and low-lying areas.

06/29/2021

The threat of flooding and flash flooding will continue tonight and tomorrow across much of the region. Be prepared, and be proactive, because flash flooding can escalate quickly! Also, remember to NEVER drive into a flooded area. Most flood-related deaths occur in automobiles. Turn Around, Don't Drown!
