As many know, the two fire departments in town have operationally merged and now function as one department: the Weathersfield Fire Department. This transition has brought several changes, including updates to operations, response procedures, and command structure. As part of the consolidation, fire department updates will now be shared from one page. Both associations have discussed this change separately, and the consensus is to preserve the AVFD page as it is for the time being. The town fire department’s new page is facebook.com/WeathersfieldFire. Please take a moment to follow it to stay up to date on fire service news and updates. Historical photos will also be shared there in the near future. We are excited to continue serving the town and its visitors as one team. Thank you all for your continued support.
