Ash Grove Fire joined Facebook in August 2011 to provide updates and information to our community, and we are incredibly proud of how our volunteers, past and present, have continued to grow our local audience and keep our community informed. Recently unfortunately, our page settings were inadvertently changed, removing all page administrators, limiting how we can interact with and respond to our community.

We have made multiple attempts through Meta to restore our administrators and regain full page access. Meta has been unresponsive; therefore, we have made the difficult decision to start a new department page.

We are asking that all current followers like and follow our new page at “Ash Grove Fire Protection District New” to stay up to date on community updates and happenings at Ash Grove Fire.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and will continue to cross-post, and post reminders to follow our new page as we transition to our new page and rebuild our audience.

🚧 Heads Up, Travelers! 🚧

If you plan on traveling I-44 in north Springfield between July 11–14, 2025, please be aware of a major closure.

As part of MoDOT’s Forward 44 Project, I-44 will be closed in both directions between West Bypass and Kansas Expressway for the replacement of the Melville Road (FR 127) bridge and other intersection upgrades.

“This is the last weekend someone in the USA will have all 10 fingers.” 🧨🖐️
Funny saying — but sadly, it’s true every 4th of July.

Fireworks injuries are no joke. 🚑 Every year, people — especially kids — end up in the ER with burns, lost fingers, or worse.

👀 Parents: Keep a close eye on your children.
🍻 Adults: Put the drinks down if you're lighting fireworks.

Let’s end the holiday weekend with all fingers, limbs, and eyesight intact. 🙌🎆👁️

Today, we mourn the heartbreaking loss of two brave firefighters who were senselessly taken from this world by a sniper while serving their community. These heroes ran toward danger, not away from it and paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.

But the danger isn’t over.

As we grieve, our prayers also go out to the first responders still in harm’s way, actively hunting the individual responsible for this cowardly act. These men and women continue to put their lives on the line to protect others, even as the threat remains.

To the families, friends, and brothers and sisters in uniform our hearts are with you. And to those still on the front lines tonight: we stand with you. Stay strong, Stay Relentless!
