📢 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Ash Grove will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 100 Main St., Ash Grove, Missouri.

The hearing will provide citizens an opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed 2026–2027 property tax levies for the City of Ash Grove.

Update: Water leak has now been repaired.

PUBLIC WORKS NOTICE

Public Works will be repairing a water leak near E. Park St. and N. Steger Ave. The leak is located on the park side of the street.

Our crew will work to get the leak repaired as quickly as possible. Once repairs are complete, we will flush the water system.

If you notice any discoloration in your water afterward, please run your faucet for a minute or two. The water should clear up.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we make these necessary repairs.

Update power should be back on.

Attention, Citizens of Ash Grove:

We are aware of the complete power outage affecting Ash Grove. We have contacted Liberty, and they are currently estimating that power will be restored by approximately 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.

We are actively monitoring the situation and will share additional information as it becomes available.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while Liberty works to restore power. Please stay safe, and thank you for your cooperation.

Update on the Water Leak on Boone:

The water leak was repaired this morning. We flushed the system, which can stir up minerals in the water and cause it to appear slightly brown. If you notice discoloration, turn on your faucet and let the water run for a few minutes. It should clear up.

The City of Ash Grove chlorinates its water, and we test the water every day to ensure it is safe to drink.

💧 Water Leak Update – E. Boone Street

We are currently working to repair another water leak affecting the 100 block of E. Boone St. in Ash Grove. Our crew is working to get the issue resolved and water service restored as quickly as possible.

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter for the Ash Grove Police Department as Police Chief John Davis serves his final day on duty before beginning a well-deserved retirement.

Chief Davis was sworn in on February 7, 2022, and from day one, he served the Ash Grove community with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and heart. Bringing with him an impressive 40+ years of law enforcement experience, he shared his knowledge and leadership in ways that strengthened our police department and benefited our entire community.

Beyond his role as Police Chief, Chief Davis also served as Ash Grove’s Emergency Management Director. His efforts helped bring our community a second storm siren, expand storm spotter training opportunities, and improve emergency preparedness for everyone.

Chief Davis will also be remembered for the moments that brought smiles to so many faces—leading our community parades, handing out candy to children on Halloween, and making Christmas brighter through the Shop with a Cop program. His commitment extended far beyond the badge.

There will undoubtedly be big shoes to fill. Chief Davis has made a lasting impact on Ash Grove, and he will be deeply missed by our community.

Please join us in thanking Chief Davis for his dedicated service and wishing him all the best in retirement.

Public Works will be repairing a water leak in the 700 block of West Woodbine. Water service in the area will be temporarily shut off while repairs are being made.

🚧 Scheduled Water Leak Repair – Road Closure Notice 🚧

The City of Ash Grove Public Works Department will be repairing a water leak tomorrow beginning at 8:00 AM.

🚧 South Piper Avenue will be closed to through traffic in front of 406 S. Piper Ave. while crews complete the repair.

Please use an alternate route and use caution if you are traveling in the area. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to complete the repair as quickly and safely as possible.
