We're still so inspired by what took place last Friday at the National Conference Center.

The LCPS Workforce Summit brought more than 250 high school juniors and seniors to meet with and network some of the areas premier employers.

The LEF team had fun participating in mock interviews and networking training and it's always great to be in the room with our business partners who help LEF and LCPS inspire the next generation of employees.

With support from The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, LEF is proud to fund the Parents as Education Partners (PEP) program, which helps empower families to build connections to their school, understand resources available, and become confident partners in their children's education.

As Gabriela Kragness, Family Liaison at Leesburg Elementary School, shares: "To me, empowerment is when parents learn how to handle things on their own, and the sense of pride they gain from not having to rely on others to manage their children's education."

Thank you to Ms. Kragness and all PEP leaders for helping LCPS families feel connected, informed, and empowered.

"Today, we're going to train AI." Gasp!

That's how Harper Park Middle School seventh graders reacted when they stepped aboard Learning Undefeated's Mobile STEM Lab.

Thanks to Equinix, more than 650 Harper Park students experienced hands-on STEM learning.

Seventh and eighth graders explored how AI uses data to identify and classify objects, while sixth graders created electromagnetic spectra and practiced key lab techniques.

Thank you to the Harper Park staff for helping bring science beyond the classroom!

$123,000 a year. That is what is needed to cover basic needs for a Loudoun County family of four.

With support from the United Way, we’re able to support the families in the ALICE Community (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) with our in-school pantry program run by LEF’s Fueled team.

Part of the support from United Way comes directly from the event “Tee Up for Equity” hosted by Josh Etemadi, Board Member for the United Way of the National Capital Area and Chair of the United Way Regional Council of Loudoun County, Virginia.

The goal of the event is to raise awareness around the needs of the ALICE community and to raise funds to help LEF’s Fueled program meet the needs.

Thank you Josh for sharing your personal story and for being such an important part of the LEF community.

We love seeing our partnerships support career exploration for students!

Our first 5th grade class visited the AWS Think Big Space. Students spent the morning with RIASEC Career Exploration, watched career interest videos & completed a breakout box challenge.Loudoun County Public Schools Loudoun Education Foundation
