Today, Mrs. Richardson’s students got a hands-on look at what archaeologists actually do! They worked in teams to carefully examine and reconstruct broken pottery by studying the shape, color, patterns, edges, and other clues on each piece. It turns out archaeology takes a lot of patience, observation, teamwork, and problem-solving—especially when history comes in pieces!
Hands-on history is the best kind of history

This Week in Mrs. Fales’ Computer Science Class!

Students began our Computer Systems unit by learning that a system is made up of parts that work together to complete a task—just like hardware and software work together to make a computer function!

They put this idea into action with teamwork challenges—building cup towers using only rubber bands and string, then working as a whole class to fit on to increasingly smaller bed sheet.

The big takeaway: A system works best when all of its parts work together.
