Credit/debit card payments incur a fee of 1.85% + $2.00 per transaction. You can pay multiple bills per transaction.

ACH (bank transfer) payments incur a flat fee of $3.25 per transaction.

The 2026 Annual Property Tax Bills are scheduled to be mailed July 20, 2026. A payment plan insert will be included with each real property bill. If you would like to pay your real property taxes in installments, simply complete and return the top portion of the form along with your first payment coupon.

Dates to remember:
2% discount available through August 31, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Bill due date: September 1, 2026
Unpaid bills become delinquent on January 6, 2027, with 2% interest added (¾% interest added every month, thereafter).

Sold a boat? Make sure you follow up with NC Wildlife to let them know. Often, boat registrations fail to get updated after the sale and remain in the prior owner's name. Contact NC Wildlife to let them know you've sold the boat. You can find their contact information here: https://www.ncwildlife.gov/boating/registration-and-titling
Also, be sure to always get a bill of sale between you and the buyer so you can provide us with a copy showing you no longer own the boat. Be sure to turn your license plate in to NCDMV for the boat trailer as well.
